American. (1932-1963)
Patsy Cline is renowned as one of the greatest country music voices of all time. Her powerful, timeless, and deeply felt ballads, changed country music forever and became instant classics and staples of the genre. Her life and career ended tragically at the age of 30 when she died in a plane crash outside Tennessee while returning home from a concert. Today, the singularity of her music remains the gold standard by which all other female country singers must measure against.
